You make an effort to come to the gym…well I presume to use the word effort since you actually show up. Yet you waste your time occupying a cardio or weight machine while talking on your phone… and when you’re not sitting there elapsing the time while most likely simultaneously barding someone from equipment they might want to use; you occupy floor space engaged in remedial motions that even a preschooler would find drab and unfulfilling. Now you wonder if I’m referring to you; the truth is I’m not, unless you are the one I’m making reference to – but then chances are you’re not much of a reader, since this would necessitate not speaking for extended periods , and from my observations this isn’t the case. But I’m digressing. The point here is I find it odd that day after day you show up, and do little if anything remotely related to physical activity. I could pardon your intrusion into my bastion if you were at least engaged in person to person conversations – but you aren’t – except for the odd dramatic gesture in what from an onlookers perspective is a bid for some attention. No, all I see is a person immersed in an activity that can easily be conducted outside these walls, and uses subpar activity to blend in to a social scene that has nothing to do with socializing as it does with health and fitness. You are encompassed by those who seek to better themselves and challenge their physical limits. For the most part we are unaware of you, or more accurately we try to look beyond the antics you bring – but I find it intriguing that you would for the lack of a better word “waste” your time here when you could easily have more success with your style of interaction at a bar during happy hour on an arbitrary Friday night
