February marks many things; the approach of spring, longer days, and a stern reminder that tax time is fast approaching. Yesterday opening my mail I was surprised when I received a notice from the City/burro, whatever you want to call it. After reading it twice I realized my taxes are coming down…yah that’s right the municipal government is lowering my taxes…go figure. Now a lot has to do with the economy and the looming threat of job losses, but I prefer to take this as a pleasant gift that for the time being keeps more money in my pocket and less in the governments.
